Your pack can go just about anywhere you go—but NOT in the washing machine. Machine-washing your pack can twist or tear the straps and fixtures, and wear away the fabric’s weatherproof coating. If you decide to go rogue and throw your pack in the wash anyway, just be aware that it voids the Got Your Bak™ warranty.

Does alcohol ruin a Camelbak?

Yes, you can put alcohol in a Camelbak or hydration bladder, but it will damage the reservoir. Hard alcohol can damage the lining, so stick to mixed drinks.

How do I store my Camelbak?

Make sure you wash the mouthpiece well. After rinsing the bladder, mouthpiece, etc., screw cap back on and store it in your freezer. When you want to ride, pull it out, run a bit of warm water over it to “defrost” it, fill it up and you’re ready to go. Once a month I use those Camelbak cleaning tablets.
