Hand Washing Your Sweater
- Gently wash the sweater with cold water and a mild soap or shampoo, then rinse the soap off with the cold water.
- To help dry it some, take the wet sweater and lay it on a dry towel.
- Lay the sweater on a flat surface on top of a dry towel until it’s air-dried.
How to not shrink your wool sweater
- Fill a clean sink or basin with cool water and add one teaspoon to one tablespoon of mild, bleach-free detergent.
- Place the sweater in the soapy water and slowly swirl it around for a minute or two.
- Remove your wool sweater from the water and gently squeeze it to get out as much water as you can.
How to Wash Sweaters in the Washer
- Place the sweater in a small mesh laundry bag (like this one).
- Only put delicates or other sweaters in at the same time.
- Choose the delicates or hand wash cycle.
- Make sure the water is cool.
- Choose gentle detergent.
- Make sure the cycle is short and slow and the spin speed is low.
Use Cold or Lukewarm Water
Be sure to put your washing machine settings to cold and delicate. Some fancy machines may even have separate “wool” or “cashmere” settings; if available, go for that one. The “warm” option for water temperature is also fine, if it’s less than 86 degrees Fahrenheit (30 degrees Celsius).Most of our light-up products are water resistant. Please use remove batteries & battery pack if possible and proceed to spot clean as needed.
- Unplug battery pack from hoodie & remove.
- Put the hoodie in the Washing Machine on Cold and Delicate wash.
- DO NOT PUT HOODIE IN A DRYER.
Can I wash sweater in washing machine?
