Can you wash your hair with two strand twists?
Twists are made by wrapping two strands of hair around each other until the hair resembles a rope twist.
In order to keep twists looking their best, shampoo and condition your hair every 2 weeks and dry wash in between water washes.
Can you get 2 strand twists wet?
Of course you do have to be careful not to stretch them to the point of breakage since hair is weak when wet, but the coils are more flexible when wet than when dry so if I put my twists in a style, I usually keep them in that style until I wash them again so I can work on them when wet.
How often should you wash your twists?
Wash your twists at least once a week, and ideally every three days, unless you plan on removing them soon. If you’re getting ready to take them out, wash less frequently to keep them from locking up. Use a residue-free shampoo to help prevent your hair from becoming greasy or gunky.
