Can you wash viscose fabric?
Viscose clothing is usually designated as dry clean only because the twisting that occurs in a washing machine can damage the fibers. Machine drying will also disfigure viscose garments. However, simple viscose clothing like unlined dresses, tops, and scarves can be hand-washed.
Does viscose shrink in the wash?
Yes, viscose will shrink. Most fabrics will when washed for the first time. But that is due to the heat of the water you use in your washing machine, the heat of your dryer and if you ignore the cleaning instructions given by the manufacturer.
Can you wash 100% viscose?
Viscose is a highly absorbent fabric, relatively inelastic and therefore very delicate especially when wet. This is why we recommend you hand washing, with cold or lukewarm water (maximum 20° C) rather than machine washing.
