Wash the blanket alone in warm or cold water.
Do not use the gentle cycle for heavier blankets in top loading washers.
Blankets over 20 lb should be washed and dried in commercial washers and dryers.
Tumble dry on low/medium heat or line dry.
How do you wash a heavy blanket in the washing machine?
If your blanket is 7 kg or less, load it into a washing machine on a gentle program (simply use the preset that says ‘Gentle’ or ‘Delicates’, set temperature to 30 C, and you are good to go). Hand-wash heavier blankets. You can hang the cover to dry or tumble dry it on LOW if you really have to tumble dry at all.
Are weighted blankets machine washable?
All of our weighted blankets are 100% machine washable. For best care, wash your weighted blanket on the gentle setting in COLD water and lay flat to dry. Please do not apply any heat on your blanket, as this will ruin the pellets inside.
How do you wash a big blanket at home?
If your blanket is quite heavily soiled, you can wash it in a washing machine using cold water and a wool-friendly detergent. Allow them to first soak in this mixture for 15 minutes inside the machine. Run the washer for two minutes on a gentle cycle, turn it off, and switch to rinse.
Can you wash a weighted blanket at home?
